Annotation
Any trials are a risk. Any work of a tester is a kind of contract with death. The film tells about the history of the creation and testing of parachutes and ejection systems, thanks to which pilots, athletes, paratroopers and cosmonauts remain alive.

Climbing into the plane, every tester knows: his parachute is faulty.
There is an error in the satchel with the main dome tightly tightened.
A test parachutist is the same person who checks a notoriously faulty parachute system in the air.
For the tester, an unopened dome, jammed parachute triggers, tangled slings are everyday life.
For an ordinary pilot, athlete or paratrooper, the failure of the parachute system is death.
The meaning of the work of a test parachutist is to search for failures so that later this or that system can save the lives of those who will use it in the future.
The film starred test parachutists Igor Tarelkin, Vladimir Nesterov, Peter Zadirov, Sergey Chekalin, Vladimir Severin, test cosmonauts Evgeny Tarelkin and Sergey Tresvyatsky, the installer of the Rosparashute slings Maria Grekova, Deputy chief designer of NPP Zvezda Nikolai Dergunov.
