The Lavochkin NPO is completing the preparation of the Spectrum-RG astrophysical observatory, the device will explore the Universe in the gamma and X-ray hard energy range.

Spektr-RG is a continuation of the project of astrophysical observatories.

The first Spektr-R observatory with the Radioastron interferometer telescope was put into orbit in 2011, followed by Spektr-RG, the third and fourth Spektr-UV and Spektr-M spacecraft are planned to be launched into space.

With their help, scientists want to get new information about distant galaxies millions of light-years away from us.
